How can we live our lives so that we define faith and believe God more?

I Believe God for the Unknowns, v. 8
• Genesis 12:1-4, calling of Abraham.
• Joshua 24:2, family of idol worshippers.
Abrahams obedience was instantaneous.
What holds you back from obeying God when He calls you into the unknown?

II Believe God for the timing, v. 9-10
• The impermanence of today pales to the permanence of God’s future plans .
• John 8:56, Abraham’s faith was not in “where” but in “who”.
When timing wasn’t in Abraham’s control, he trusted God for the timing!
What can you do in the present to help you as you wait for God’s timing?

III Believe God for the impossible, v. 11-12
• Genesis 15:1-6, God promises the impossible.
• Genesis 16, the consequence doubt.
• Romans 4:18-21, Abraham believed God.
Faith is believing that God can do the impossible, Luke 18:27.
What’s the impossible thing that you’re trusting God to do?

IV Believe God for the unfulfilled, v. 13-16
• Hebrews 11:39-40, lived by faith in present, died with faith in the future.
• John 20:29, blessed are those who have not seen yet believe.
How is your faith in the present shaped by faith in the future?

Conclusion:

Psalm 73:25-26
How can your actions in the present “unknown” reflect your faith?
