Building Coordinator 

(East York campus; Part-Time)

Reports to: Facilities Manager 

Job Summary:

The Building Coordinator is responsible for the daily cleanliness and readiness of the assigned campus, ensuring the campus and facilities are always warm, inviting, and prepared to be used by God’s people for God’s glory.

 Description of Responsibilities:

  1. Clean classrooms before all regularly-scheduled services (generally Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings).
  2. Vacuum carpeted areas twice a week.
  3. Wet mop the non-carpeted floors weekly.
  4. Clean window glass weekly, except for external surfaces of windows on the front of the building.
  5. Clean bathrooms twice weekly, and clean toilets weekly, including bowl and all external surfaces.
  6. Refill paper products in bathrooms before all regularly-scheduled services (generally Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings).
  7. Clean office area and remove trash twice a week.
  8. Take trash from the common areas to the dumpster before all regularly-scheduled services. (generally Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings).
  9. Wipe down all table and counter surfaces weekly.
  10. Address simple maintenance needs and make more complex needs known to the Facilities Manager.
  11. Keep an accurate inventory of janitorial and expendable supplies (always maintaining a 2-week supply on hand).
  12. Remove snow from and apply ice melt to doorways and walks.
  13. Replace spray deodorizers and batteries every 4-6 weeks.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician

(for both campuses; Part-time)

  4. The knowledge and ability to perform building and grounds maintenance as required
  5. Ability and willingness to support and fill in for other departments such as:  cleaning, set up, etc.
  6. A keen eye for detail
  7. Good organizational skills
  8. Previous experience in mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and grounds work areas

Reports to:  Facilities Manager

Part-time:  10 hours per week

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the Facilities Manager supporting his role and the maintenance work load.  Tasks will be performed at all COD facilities, including West and East York campuses.  The scope of work will span all trades, including mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, painting and grounds work.

Description of Responsibilities:

  1. Complete tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager
  2. Maintain a clean work area properly maintaining church owned tools and equipment
  3. Apprise the Facility Manager of maintenance needs and inventory requests
  4. Organize storage and supply areas
  5. Exercise personal safety and safety of others at all times
  6. Other duties as assigned

High School Ministry Director 

(West York Campus; Full-Time)


  • An evident heart and love for God and His church
  • Agreement with the Mission/Vision of Church of the Open Door and the COD Students Ministry
  • Must be a member of Church of the Open Door
  • A passion to point young people to Jesus
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of youth ministry or related experience
  • Training in biblical and pastoral counseling
  • Relational skills that are well suited for student ministry, which includes building relationships with parents and adult leaders.
  • A humble spirit, eagerness to learn, responsible work ethic, and a servant’s heart to accomplish tasks
  • A team player with a willingness to be assigned responsibilities as well as a self-starter with assertiveness to work independently

 Reports to:  Campus Pastor

Anticipated work time: 40-45 hours per week.

Job Summary:

The High School Ministry Director will seek to “Ignite a PASSION for Christ in the Lives of Students” at the assigned campus.  This person will care for, shepherd and disciple high school students, parents, and adult leaders who serve with the Student Ministry. They will work in conjunction with the Junior High Coordinator and the COD Students staff on other campuses to design a program that honors Christ and serves students and their families well. This position also needs to communicate well with the Children’s Ministry Coordinator for the assigned campus in order to best serve families together.

 Description of Responsibilities:

  1. Disciple students to become passionate and devoted followers of Jesus.
  2. Make time each week to be available to help students or parents respond Biblically to the struggles and victories in life.
  3. Teach Scripture in a relevant and engaging way
  4. Recruit and train leaders who desire to see young people encouraged and equipped to follow Jesus
  5. Connect with students outside of the church building and encourage leaders to do the same
  6. Encourage the “attend one service & serve in one service” mentality with students so they will take ownership in being a part of the church.
  7. Participate in weekly campus staff meeting
  8. Meet regularly with their counterparts serving in COD Students across all campuses and plan calendar, special events and teaching series
  9. Plan weekly meetings to intentionally point students to Jesus. This includes everything from when the students step onto campus until they leave the property.
  10. Work to design an environment for students to connect in small groups.
  11. Coordinate teaching schedule
  12. Embrace and promote the multisite model for students and help shape it so that COD can help the people of York County find and follow Jesus.
  13. Communicate effectively with parents, leaders, and students through social media, myCOD, and handouts.
  14. Oversee the attendance system and follow up with visitors.
  15. Coordinate retreats, camps, mission trips and outreach activities in connection with Campus Pastor and other appropriate COD ministry teams.
  16. Prepare for and lead adult youth leaders meetings.
  17. Help with special campus wide events when requested.
  18. Meet regularly with Campus Pastor
  19. Other duties as assigned.
