Get Connected

In a church of our size, with around 850 attendees on a typical Sunday morning, it can be hard to get connected. Our goal is to help you not only connect with God, but with other people as well. We have various ways for this to happen and want you to know about them. Let us know if there is anything else we can do to make you feel at home!

Sunday School - We provide Sunday school classes for all ages. It is a smaller setting of instruction than our worship, but also a time to meet new people and grow together in your faith. Some provide more fellowship than others, but all will give you the opportunity to connect with the Lord and with someone from our body.

Small Groups - We have a small group ministry which gives you opportunity to gather in someone's home about 2x per month to study, pray, and fellowship together. These groups are usually no larger than 10 people so you really get to know those people over the course of time. It is the best way, we believe, to connect with people in your community who can encourage you, help you, care for you and shepherd you in your walk with the Lord.

Pastor's Welcome Class - Twice a year we offer a 12 week Pastor's Welcome Class which meets Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM. This gives you a chance to meet the staff and hear all the ins and outs of COD. It's a great place for you to connect with us and vice versa. We would highly recommend this class if you are new to COD.

MOM-n-ME - This wonderful ministry to young mothers is a great way to "get a break" and connect with other mothers who are working hard to raise their children in a godly way. This ministry meets every other Tuesday, September through May, and provides wonderful sessions on parenting, cooking, being a godly wife, and many other topics. Childcare is provided and is open to all pre-schoolers.

Men's Focus Groups - These are discussion oriented groups of men who come together to learn the practical side to good manhood in our world. Presently, they are interacting on the topic of understanding your wife. This is a great place to meet other men and grow in your faith at the same time.
